Price, item by item
A custom wrought iron orangery box doesn’t have a single catalogue price — two orders can end up several hundred euros apart for clearly identifiable reasons. Here’s what actually makes up the bill.
Size, the main cost driver
This is the factor that weighs the most, even before the chosen finish. Expect €250–€450 for a small size (shrub or young citrus tree, terrace or balcony), and €600–€1,200 for a large size (mature tree) — a logical gap, since a large size needs more material and manufacturing time, not to mention panels designed to make repotting easier.
Finish, an add-on depending on choice
Matt black powder coating is the most common finish and doesn’t carry any particular surcharge. A custom colour (RAL shade chart) or gold-leaf detailing on decorative motifs, on the other hand, are quoted on request — see our finishes and colours page for the full range of options.
Handling options
Built-in handles or rings: a modest but real addition to manufacturing time, worth it as soon as a box filled with damp soil needs to be moved regularly — see our article on choosing a size.
What’s never included in these figures
Delivery is never included in the manufacturing price — it’s quoted separately based on your area, at the time of your quote request. The same goes for a matching set of several boxes: the price isn’t a simple multiple of the unit price, the workshop adjusts it based on quantity and the consistency you want.
A quote that always starts from your actual project
None of these figures replace a precise quote. The final price depends on your exact dimensions, your chosen finish and your delivery area — never a price fixed in advance. Request a free quote to get an initial estimate within 48h, with no obligation.
